| After many years of not
participating in any jewellery design awards, G. & G. Andolfi
Jewellers entered the 2004 JAA Australian Jewellery Design Awards
and we are happy to showcase our WINNING ENTRY in the Opal Design
Awards Section (the only section we entered).
The image to your right is that of the
winning piece which is a handmade Matrix opal enhancer that can be worn vertically or
horizontally on a pearl or black cord choker by simply adjusting the flexible
clasp mechanism.
The piece was originally designed by
Barbara Andolfi - George Andolfi's daughter also of G. & G. Andolfi
Jewellers. George then developed and handcrafted the piece into the
final article.
The 27ct Matrix Opal is encased primarily
in 18ct Green and Rose Gold but also encompasses 18ct Yellow and White
Gold. The enhancer is set with 129 Brilliant Cut Diamonds totalling
approx. 0.97ct and an Emerald Cut Emerald of approx. 0.64ct.
G. & G. Andolfi Jewellers are proud
to be winners in this years Australian Jewellery Design Awards. A
feature article of all winning pieces will appear in the November 2004
issue of VOGUE magazine.
