Left early for the airport for no real reason. That early start gave Ross some extra time to miss the first Tullamarine turn off over the Bolte Bridge and take the scenic route over the Westgate Bridge.
Got to the terminal and the line to Jetstar was so long it went past Qantas, International and almost to the Virgin Blue terminal at the other end of the airport.
We sat almost dead centre of the plane and when the food trolleys both met in the middle … right next to us … they had both sold out of any over priced food of any worth. All that was left was a half chewed muffin and a glass of toilet water. Ross wasnt hungry and didnt care ….. but Barb and Steve were not amused at all
Steve was so angry he did a very bad “Im pretending to be asleep”, 
and said he may never open his eyes ever again in protest
Daniel’s flu was playing nasties with his ears and the plane pressure caused him some grief.
It was nice and warm on arrival and we dropped the luggage in the apartment and headed into Surfers Paradise for a supermarket load up.
We hadn’t left the apartment more than 5 minutes and Steve was filling himself up with Hungry Jacks. He withdrew his threat to never open his eyes again, and all was forgiven.
BBQ for dinner and some well earned Bourbons (and white wine in Barb’s case)
