A tiny bit bigger ….

The new van dwarfs the car Park where you like they said, no-ones coming into the site around they said. Today at Sovereign Hill Barb gets a call, youll blocked a site and someones waiting to get onto it.

Strike it rich ?…

Barb wouldnt be told.  Its not a real alluvial gold stream ….. its all make believe.   She told a few school kids the whole southern side of the creek was her “claim”, and if they crossed over she’d thump them with the rusty shovel and steal their iPhones. This is apparently a genuine gold rich quartz vein in one of the mines.  Its said to have left for the tourists to view, after it was discovered. It looks a little painted on, but Magistrate assured Ross it was indeed gold, and he shouldnt have tried to dig it out with his [ ... ]

Minecraft for real

Daniel was beside himself when we book the Gold Pass entry which included not one, but 3 mine tours It was all lost on Ross and Barb untill they were learned in all things Minecraft …. get it? … mine tour … minecraft.   The connection was not lost on Daniel.   He had a depth of knowledge about mining equal to the tour guide. Daniel was stoked Daniel and Bard were panning for gold in the creek, and while Daniel was looking in Barbs pan, some random kid jumped Daniels Claim and took his pan …..

Sovereign Hill

Spent a glorious day at Sovereign hill. Took a coach ride which was a lot like a wild west.  Ross mentioned getting up on the roof in case the indians attacked the coach …. who should be standing outside the coach at the time.  A family of Indians (of the Mumbai variety) We ventured down to Chinese diggings and made our way through the Chinese tents, store and Dr’s. At the end of area was the Chinese temple. We all wandered in and it was a light and sound auditorium with a detailed presentation of how the Europeans (us) and [ ... ]

New panda maiden voyage

Strapped on the new Panda and headed to Ballarat for a long weekend, and the Pandas maiden voyage The new Panda dwarfs the Navara, towed quiet well considering the size and weight of the behemoth
