392. Sydney

After a huge day on the hoof yesterday it was a sleep in for Daniel this morning.   Barb doesnt need a long walk to incite a sleep in, and even after a late night repairing the blog Ross was still up at 6am.

A more stable weather day today and off we go to Manly for the afternoon

With a nice warm day developing Manly was chaotic and very difficult to find a car park.   We drove around aimlessly because we arent 100% where to look for car parks.   We eventually found someone leaving only 50mtrs from the beach and 100mtrs from the Corso, the heart of Manly.

The beach was almost standing room only, but also a little windy.

Watching the Manly world wandering past from the Manly Beach front Starbucks.   Surprisingly the usually very predictable was very average

The Corso area of Manly runs from the surf beach on the ocean side of North Head to the Manly Wharf on the Harbour side of North Head.   The beaches on both sides very busy.

Sydney is a great place, and although we feel like traitors to our Melbourne loyalty we love Sydney, and no area more than Manly Beach.   (you can have Bondi, not so fussed on that)

The Corso and area in general is so vibrant

Market Place street market just off the Corso.   Cant get enough of the markets.

The view into Sydney Harbour from Manly Wharf.   The small jetty next to the wharf is obviously the place for local kids to be … and jump off the jetty

We wandered down to the southern end of Manly Surf Beach, and beyond the point past the Surf Club with views across the Shelley Beach

Its possibly ironic Ross taking a photo whilst driving of a sign on a taxi not use your mobile phone whilst driving
