Jan 23/24. Anna Bay to Home

We left Anna Bay this morning, pointing south toward home.   Unlike the many other times we’ve left Port Stephens as our last camp and driven through to home, this year we’d already decided to get into Victoria or as close to the boarder as possible and stop, leaving only 3 hours to get home before lunch.

On the law of averages, it had been a great break.   There was a couple of crappy blocks, but the better periods added up to a terrific trip.   The week at North Haven, and the week at Anna Bay were text book awesome’ness

As usual, Ross was very unhappy to be heading home.

And we still cant get that damn Santa hat off Daniel’s head.   Set up with his iPad, movies, music and chicken roll he is the greatest traveller ever.   Ross and Barb never get a whinge out of the back seat regardless of how long we’re all in the car.   Daniel is an effortless travel buddy …. but it was 37 deg outside whilst he was wearing that hat.   Great advert for the mighty Navara’s aircon

We drove for 10 hours, a relatively easy considering the time and comfortably making it to Glenrowan where we opted to pitch camp at the local caravan park, which to our delight had a very welcoming pool in the 36 deg late afternoon heat

This great looking Oka was camped next to us in Glenrowan … great until  we add 36 deg to the equation.

The 24th of Jan was nothing more than a 3 hour drive home.   We were completely packed away, everything washed and the van back at the factory by late afternoon … almost like it hadnt happended.   The blog was shelved early on because Ross just couldnt get motivated to keep up to it.   The difficulty in getting into the blog for just 4 weeks is humourous considering Ross blog every single friggin day for the entire 405 days of our big lap

Over and out, until our next adventure
