Bit cool overnight.

The caravan park is filling rapidly now with the onslaught from todays start of the NSW school holidays. Quiet a few arrived yesterday, and there seem to be larger groups arriving randomly but camping together.

Mostly tents and campers so theyll need a heater, polar jackets, double doonas and a healthy love of the bitterly cold outdoor life.

For added camping fun the holiday gods have forecast tonights over night temperature at around zero, so that will test the heartiest of campers.

The NRL final between the Rosters and the Storm is on this afternoon, but with the temperature plummeting as the sun goes down the local’s excitement may be a little subdued and short lived.

But until that polar frost appears, we’ll be taking advantage of cloudless blue sky, a warm mild day with just a breath of wind.

Table tennis competition between the three of us this morning followed by Ross baking a Boston bun for afternoon tea.

Daniel made a Boston Man with the excess mix … with a thick coating of icing.

The warm interior of the car sitting in the sun is Ross’s preferred place to raise the bun.

How could anyone not fall in love with this face. The no. 7 tag is the caravan park dog identity tag, we can only assume that is so they can identify which dog bit which kid, or which dog shat in which camp. Like most rules, no other dogs had them on. This is Max’s standard reaction to “go for a walk”. You hear good news better when your heads tilted … go on try it, it works

Max is a great camp dog, he listens, he’s obedient and he is generally pretty easy to have around. His humans just have to get used to not being able to go to the shops, national parks and some other dig restricted places, but as Max gets older he’ll be happy enough sleeping in the van for a few hours whilst we go about our usual chores.

Off for a walk to the calm northern beach which is protected by Broulee Island. Max loves the beach, the water, the freedom and runs around at full tilt continuously from the moment the lead comes until it goes back on again

Back to camp for some fresh Boston Bun

One of the camper trailer neighbours returned this afternoon with multiple large bags of new doonas. A good move likely inspired by last night low and tonights forecast 1deg

We leave here tomorrow morning, head upto to Batemans Bay for morning tea then head 60km south to Dalmeny till Thu or Fri. Barb will be hoping for some whale watching action after what was offered up there last time we stayed.
