Ross had grandiose plans to cross the Reeve Channel and fish up around Kalimna and around Rigby Island.
He paddled upto the channel goynes and watched the water pumping through the channel towards the open sea and certain death. That was the point of “plan abandonment”.
The day ended with disappointment, no fish, bad sunburn and a broken heart.
