QLD Day 11

Another great day in the sun that started with coffee in Cavill Avenue and a walk along the beach.

A view of Surfers that will be forever changed when the massive towers of the Hilton and Soul resorts are completed.

Nissan Navara’s are such an amazing all round fantastic vehicle, they are the most obvious, most valuable vehicle of choice for the hero’s of the surf, and all round good people of Surf Life Saving Australia in their mission to keep our beaches safe.

Keep up the good work …. Nissan

This is the corner in Broadbeach that claimed Ross on his bike a couple of years back.   He was riding back to Surfers from NSW and road works were in progress at this intersection.   The road works consisted of creating the green sections in the photo for cycling safety.   Ironically they had a hose diagonally across the road which rolled Ross’s front out from under him and sent him sliding through the wet green safety paint and crashing into the curb.   His response is not for a “G” rated blog.

This apartment block in the centre of the photo is a floor to a level and each floor has it’s own pool, which glass end wall can be seen above each of the mottled yellow square panels.   Ross is saving $12 per week, hoping to buy one of those apartments soon.

This sign is in the toilet in the Centra, Surfers Paradise shopping centre.   Ross thought three things when he photographed this sign.   Firstly, what does this have to do with peeing; secondly, this guy should talk to Barb because all her awful sadness goes away when she drinks (daily) … and lastly, what was Ross thinking, whiping out his camera in the men’s public toilet.

This is almost an exact replica of printed photos for sale at the Foreshore Market each Friday.   Granted the names and sayings in the prints selling at the market may not be written with Ross’s deformed big toe, but I think you’ll agree its impressive none the less, and equally marketable. We think the hang nail gives it a unique edge.

The afternoon at the beach resulted in Princess Kalani Kuna, Surf Goddess, once again hogging Poo Poo Heads toddler sized boogie board.   This time ended a little differently.   The Princess took a backward tumble in the small choppy waves and sucked in a little sea water.   The wheels suddenly fell off, and this surfing caper lost a little of it shine.

Last night was dinner in Cavill Avenue.   Poo Poo Head all but fell asleep at the table ………
