QLD Day 10

Friday was a little breezy and cool, so it was a bit of a non eventful day.   Barb, Ross and Poo Poo Head went for a long walk along the beach to the south, something we have never done before.   Dotted along the beach front between the high-rises are a few houses with absolute beach frontage, and some of them are pretty old as well.   We spoke about how good it would be if mysterious, old, unknown uncle Jethro Mortimer Fraser passed on and left his Surfer Paradise beach front  house to his nephew, Ross, in his will.

Friday night is our traditional Pizza and Booze night; although Barb drinks most nights anyway, we still try to pretend it’s a special booze night.   At home we pay about $14 for 2 monster pizzas, and after running gauntlet of pizza shops about Surfers we found that having pizza was starting to look like a luxury night out.   Ross refused to pay gourmet price for a bloody pizza, and if we couldn’t find a cheap one we’d go to a proper restaurant for a real meal for what would be the same price.   Pizza and Booze night is supposed to be a cheap night ….. so lucky La Porchetta came to our rescue.

La Porchetta Surfers Paradise is next door to Player Strippers Club and across the road from Hollywood Nights Strippers Club; an odd place for a family pizza restaurant.

Although this particular photo appears to show Steve after he was thrown out of Hollywood Nights Strippers Club, and trying to work out how he is going to get past the police parked out the front who are waiting for him try to get back in ….. that probably wouldn’t be the truth, maybe it just appears to that way.

Maybe, he just having a smoke
