402. Benalla to home

This welcome home to Victoria crap is just piling up, we had to put the bloody diesel heater on this morning.

Our last free camp, on the edge of Lake Benalla   Not quite our last camp all together because we’ll be in the van tonight in the factory, so technically the trip stays alive for one more day.

Ross sent out a pile of “almost back home” text messages to friends and almost every single reply came back with “Ha” and “LOL”, what’s that all about.

We seen many wonderful vistas on our adventure, but this aint one of them.  The northern approach to the city is never very inviting, this time more so for Ross

A blast from the past.   This is us outside the factory leaving on day 1 of our epic journey into the unknown.

This is us just arrived back at the factory 402 days after we left

It was truly a leap of faith, stressful and a massive undertaking we embarked on.   We were full of excitement, apprehension and a feeling hanging over our we’d left something important behind.

Although we spent many many hours planning and researching, we didn’t really know what to expect.  There was still doubt we were doing the right thing, got the planning right, or would survive each other.

A holiday is one thing, but living on the road is completely different.  We would be so far away from home and in some very isolated and challenging places with a very real possibility we might come unstuck … and unhinged
