Jan 20. Anna Bay

Quiet morning around camp, no exercise today.

We all headed to the beach for high tide around 10.30am. It was astounding after the deadly massive seas a few days back to be replaced with todays meek and mild beach.

The waves today resembled the our local Melbourne bay beach of Mordialloc. Even Barb ventured out to the breaks.

After lunch we popped into Nelson Bay for Daniel to spend some of his Xmas money.

His found his long wanted back scratcher, and got himself a spray on tattoo. Some other dickhead father was vocal about the rip off tattoo price ($7) and how that would lead his much suffering son to get real tattoos when he’s older.  Yup, great cause and effect argument. Makes perfect sense Einstein, for gods sake don’t let your son watch the Spiderman movies.

Back to camp to relax with some of the Aust Open, and then get organised for Daniel’s surprise buffet dinner cruise tonight.   Daniel thought we were having fish and chips on the foreshore.   Before the fish and chip ruse, Ross decided he wanted to walk out on the wharf pontoons to look at the boats.   Perfect timing, as we approached the Dinner Cruise Boat the Captain started greeting the patrons and we walked straight on.   Daniel couldnt contain his excitement, he had a cheesy grin from ear to ear

Daniel set about exploring the boat and had a great 2 1/2 hour cruise … he even tried an oyster which almost made him sick.   Its very rare for Daniel to refuse to try new foods, he’s a real fine food connoisseur.

Daniel adores eclairs, so when he discovered that profiteroles were basically ting ball shaped eclairs he was in heaven
