Jan 21st. Anna Bay

After Ross and Barbs morning walk along the beach it was just a day at the beach today.

The caravan park at One Mile backs directly onto the beach over the dunes.   One path to the beach from the caravan park is around 30 metres from our camp; that track leads to the beach about 100 metres north of the life saving club.   The other end of the caravan park accesses the surf club end of the beach.   That end of the beach has a licensed restaurant and cafe.   Theres not much that this place doesnt provide for our holiday requirements … in fact we are considering this area to move to permanently at some point down the track

The view from the dunes atop of our track looking north past the rocks toward Samurai Beach, and onwards to the green hills of the Tomaree national Park

Its  Saturday and both One Mile is standing room only and the cars are starting to build over on the beach at Samurai

A lot of effort was made today to cross over on to Samurai Beach and avoid the long hot trek around the dunes.   Shoes and socks off and into the water to cross

Once across that figurative great moral void, and we know we are instantly a world far away from the beach life we usually frolic in.   Nudie beaches are typically void of your supermodel and beautiful people, instead they are full of these guys

We trek our now “usual well beaten path”, except this time the weekend population explosion on the nudie beach was insane.

The view from the top of the steep sandy track of the Tomaree National Park, looking south over the masses of weekend bodies adorning the nudie beach.   The transformation of the beach from weekday to great weather weekend was astounding

Ross and Barb headed back to camp, breakfast done, organised Daniel and headed to One Mile Beach for the day.   The waves were tiny, so much so that Barb had none of her usual nervous surf tension.  The water was a tiny bit warmer and the wind was a slight breeze
