Nelson Bay day 4

Today started with a wonderful cafe quality creamy hot chocolate for Barb …. provided by Ross’ s new coffee machine.

The machine was purchased yesterday because it was “so cheap, he’d be crazy not to buy it”

We all know that that is a line straight from the good book of Female Logic, but in this isolated case …… it might almost have been true.

One things is for sure, had the hot chocolate been crap, Barb would have been very vocal about the entire project.   Barb gave it 5 stars. (She wont be so impressed with the coffee varieties)

The machine is similar to the one Ross has at the factory, and the chocolate pods are leaps ahead on the taste scale.

While we’re mentioning the factory, we’ll take the opportunity to present a word from our sponsor

… he’ll be back on Monday

Off to the surf club for a hearty breakfast. Daniel had his standard whilst Ross and Barb indulged in a avocado fetta and rocket mash on sourdough toast with bacon. We’ll work off those extra calories later by watching someone else running along the beach.

Barb did go for a 20metre skooter ride after breakfast

An important part of any man with a beautiful heart … is to also have beautiful feet.

And thats why Ross regularly uses the services of the Foot Technicians at the shopping centre Asian Nail and Foot Spa.

Ross hasnt worn shoes for 35 days and god only knows what he’s stepped in over that time. $40 to touch and play with them “feet things” for 30min hardly seems nearly enough. Nothing short of a full bio suit, breathing apparatus and welding gloves would get OH&S approval.

A miracle of modern medicine allowed Ross to watch the surgeon perform her magic throughout the procedure.

With Ross’ s beautified flappers we headed up to the lookout in the hills behind Port Stephens for a 360deg view of all of Nelson Bay and the entrance, north along the coast and over the great lakes, and Stockton Beach south toward Newcastle.

On the way back to Fingal Bay we checked out Box Beach which faces due east and is north of the Fingal Bay spit. It would be a savage beach in a easterly storm

Ross found a dead fish washed up on the beach at Box Beach ….. he swears it is a Pirahna and warned Barb and Daniel about the perils of going near the water. Ross pointed out that there was one other car in the car park …….. but no-one else on the beach !!!!!! And the pirahna was wearing a wedding ring inscribed “Julie & Brett 1998”
