Day 52 Dec 7th – Merimbula day 7

Another night of rain but another mild, if not sunny day.

The heavens opened up again during the night and the wind popped it’s little head up as well.   There was a couple of huge downpours which you can’t help but be woken up by.   Ross generally sleeps like a corpse, but these downpours wake him up.

It was mild today with a virtually no wind but constant cloud cover. When the sun managed to get out from behind the cloud, it had a real kick to it.

We were going to take Poo Poo Head to Magic Mountain, a local “family Fun Park” which we think must be just like Disneyland right here in Merimbula.   But the constant presence of the grey clouds, and threatening looking storm clouds hanging around the horizon put the mozz on that idea.   Just our luck we’d pay the $60 day pass for Poo Poo Head and Ross and the forecast storm would be guaranteed to make it’s appearance.

Not a lot otherwise to report today, we just hung around the caravan park, making repeated bike rides, jumping pillow excursions, playground adventures and even a dip in the pool.

Poo Poo Head was practicing his swimming and backwards underwater kicking maneuver.

We even hired the tennis court for an hour this afternoon and started to teach Poo Poo Head to play tennis.

Poo Poo Head went to the kids club and painted a plaster motor bike whilst Ross went into town to stock up on ….. lollies and peanuts.

A photo of the blog being actively created ……. And you all thought it is Ross doing the blog.

Once again the forecast is for pending storms.   The weather guessers will eventually get it right.   If they forecast storms enough, one will come along sooner or later.   Barb keeps a watchful eye on the Foxtel weather channel, which changes almost on an hourly basis; the weather channel is like watching Home and Away …. it looks like it could be true, but we all know it isnt.

It seems that the only time the weather channel is accurate is when there reporting on the weather that actually happened yesterday.

Our neighbours, who Ross has got friendly with, have this gem of a sticker on the rear of their caravan.   Barb has always wanted to get some kind of saying made up to stick on the rear of the camper, but Ross wasn’t interested.   It is very common to see names and sayings on the back of caravans and campers; Ross’s brother Mark has “Wine Down” on the rear of their caravan.

…. And yes we do !!!

Until now Ross has not had any interest in a name or label on the camper, but now he has realized he could use profanities in the camper name, he has suddenly taken an active interest.    Some of the names Ross has suggested already this afternoon has made Barb’s hair stand on end.

It’s been really pleasant just to stay put for a week and not feel like we need to do anything in particular, or be anywhere at any particular time.   Poo Poo Head is happy to play games, ride his bike and use the caravan park facilities, and Ross and Barb are happy to just sit around, read or wander around aimlessly.

We have discovered that no agenda is the best agenda.
