Our site at Mooloolaba Beach CP
Ross was up at 5.30 am and went for a walk to the beach. There was a swag of people already walking along the beach and swimming like it was the middle of the day. Once the true holidayers were up and about we wandered the short stroll into town and had breaky at one of the gazallion cafes along the strip.
We unfortuantely picked an expensive and less than impressive example, but it was edible at least and the view was pretty good as all the cafes are
Youll note the expensive toast that Daniels travel buddies are eating AGAIN.
This is the street that Ross had to reverse the camper along in order to get it onto our site
A couple of cars pulled in yesterday after us, onto tent sites and began an all day exercise in erecting tent versions of the Taj Mahal. One setup had at least 40 poles holding up the tarp, and the other had a house fridge, freezer, 5 burner BBQ, bunks multiple outdoor settings ……. plus the huge tent.
Ross chatted with our neighbour this afternoon and he mentioned some campers such as the guys behind us are here for 6 plus weeks every year. He commended us on manuevering the camper onto the site yesterday. He said that over the years the hordes have witnessed many disasters getting onto this site and how they were all very impressed, and slightly disappointed, with our efforts.
Barb dragged everyone into a Ishka type hippy incence shop today and started the process of trying to convert Daniel into a mini hippy.
Then back to camp to get organised for the beach. The water was a balmy 23deg … we werent the only ones to discover that. The beach was packed from one end to the other
There was a small casuality, complete with sad face. But Ross did mention that, as an athlete, when you push the levels of human endurance to the extreme, you have to expect to take off a little bark every now and again
The realisation.
The confirmation.
The sad face to corroborate the confirmation
Graphic video interview taken shortly after the incident. The video is rated triple R and should not be shown to small children or weak minded adults
The identical thing occured at Byron Bay, one year and one day ago. Now if thats not sign!!!!!!. The Byron Bay Twilight Zone blog post – Jan 11th 2013
Take a look at the Byron Bay post. Its the same bloody knee … plus youll also see the identical sad face.
Dr Ross diagnosed an emergency trip to the Wellness Shop. We all walked past the Wellness Store and Barb immediately felt better. We didnt have to go inside, the power of the store was so strong just walking past was enough. Ross’s broken watch mysteriously started working again, all by the power of the Wellness Shop. We plan on parking the car outside tomorrow; to save some money on the skipping the next service.
Because Barb now felt so much better (pending the surgery later tonight) we wandered to the other end of the foreshore to the other caravan park which is right on the beach with spectacular views only equalled by the South West Rocks caravan park. Each of the sites overlook the beach and are in the best position in town … forget the $500 per night highrise resorts; with a $50 Big W tent you can stay in the best location.
