Mooloolaba day 4

Its painful to invent titles for each post, so we’ve reverted to place and day

Took the Poo Poo Head to the skate park this morning.   The beach was a little blown out so it was convenient

In his travels last night running around getting supplies for Daniel, Ross found, purchased and issued 3 water squirters on his return.  They’ll be getting wheeled out at the next beach outing

The skate park is between Mooloolaba and Maroochydore, at the Alexandra Headland surf club, which won best surf club 2013.  We’re not sure what aspect of the club won … it could have been for neatest hat rack.

A coffee for Ross sometimes (read often) includes an ice cream for Barb and Daniel

Daniel making a 10cent wish at the hippie shop wishing well …… we suspect the wish might include “Can we please stop with this relentless bloody walking ….. ”

The Love Spirit Shop!!! As hard as he looked Ross couldnt find the shop. Love can be difficult to find. As in this case, the signs often say its there, but when you look it doesn’t really exist. Very prophetic really. (Or did we mean pathetic. Probably the later)

Storm’s a brewing. Theres a tropical cyclone developing up nth which Ross has christened Cyclone Barb’ette. If it developes and swings out into the Coral Sea it will push hot humid weather and big seas to the south ie here ……. Ross says cooooooooool.

Our neighbour was pretty impressed with our camper but was undecided on the satellite Foxtel ….. Ross mention one of the tents around the corner was airconditioned. He backed off a little on his opposition to our Foxtel.

We walked out of the surf at 6pm tonight. Daniel was having a ball in the surf with Ross and riding the boogie board. The sets of waves were pretty constant until a set of 5 or 6 “extra large with chips” waves smashed Ross and Daniel one after the other. They were caught up in the wash of a particularly large one and Ross only had hold of Daniel by the rash vest as they went under. Daniel thought it was a hoot ….. Ross wasn’t so sure.

We headed to the Surf Club for and on the way heard people talking about hows it $5 steak and chips night. We headed in and were rejected because of Ross’s singlet and thongs. No problem. Wandered back to camp, got changed, wandered back to club and signed in. The place was packed out ….. idiots may have mentioned that.

Not to be refused dinner altogether we found a cafe on the esplanade serving dinner. We were fortunate enough to be thrown up genuine second rate shit cafe food at genuine quality restaurant prices. We would name and shame the cafe, but nobody can recall what it was called. Ha.
