Mooloolaba day 5

The shit food cafe last night was Olivers, Ross ran past it this morning.

Back to Starbucks where “Barbra” bought Ross his morning brew (at lunchtime)

A hot and windy day today. The beach was blown out, choppy, hot with dirty dumping surf. No beach today.

The planned fishing trip in the kayak has been postponed. Ross seen an aerial shot of the entrance to the river, and the area outside looked very inviting.

…. just not in this choppy windy sea.

We went for a walk to the rocks at the northern end of the beach. Theres always the possibility of treasure in the rock pools … or crabs (non penicillin kind. The penicillin kind are in the night club)

Quiet afternoon. Nanna Barb enjoyed a Nanna nap after lunch. Ross picked up the slack and did some washing, and took the opportunity to have an enjoyable little secret drink.

Its now about 6.30pm and a pleasant 25deg. Perfect for relaxing outside with a jar (or 10) watching the Australian Open.

We all wandered into town to get a health capsule …. sometimes known as an ice cream

In the distance there was the fire glow of what appeared to be some kind of acrobats on the beach, which was really odd. Some random people had setup some of those fire accessories jugglers often use, for average passers by to had a go at …. seemingly pretty much unsupervised, and quite a few people were having a go, including some kids.

They had also set a bunch of various drums in a circle, and a yogi looking dude was continually beating out a tune. The passers by were encouraged to grab a drum and join in.

Daniel was typically reluctant so Barb lead the charge which help Daniel make the leap. You can see by his face he had a ball
